Mathematics is beautiful
A few examples of why. Consider Euler’s identity, a surprising link between five fundamental constants: $e^{i\pi} + 1 = 0$. Or Stokes’ theorem, which subsumes Green’s theorem, the divergence theorem, and the classical vector Stokes’ theorem as special cases:
$$\int_M d\omega = \int_{\partial M} \omega.$$
